When I was a boy, I figured out pretty quickly that racism was kind of stupid. After all, I saw too many people of too many different races doing well in school and poorly in school. My dad—a cop most of my life, right up until he retired—arrested too many of all ethnicities to believe they were pure, but we encountered too many good people of all ethnicities to believe they were all bad, either.
In short, there may be issues in a given ethnic community, but it’s not because of their color.
So, because of what I saw, I started treating everyone the same. I still do this and that’s what I expect from all levels of government.
Only, the Biden-Harris White House seems to be of the belief that expecting a minimum of knowledge from some people is somehow racist.
The Biden-Harris Department of Justice has undertaken a slew of lawsuits against local police and fire departments alleging that it is racist to require hires entrusted with public safety to know basic math.
The lawsuits undermine Kamala Harris’s attempts to brand herself as a moderate in the final weeks of the presidential campaign, with the suits both suggesting a dim view of blacks by the administration, and employing the theory of “disparate impact,” the radical theory that holds that anytime there are statistical racial disparities, racism must be the cause — even if no one can explain how.
On Friday, the DOJ’s civil rights unit filed a lawsuit against South Bend, Indiana, saying “South Bend uses a written examination that discriminates against Black applicants and a physical fitness test that discriminates against female applicants,” The Daily Wire previously reported.
But that was just one of the lawsuits, which claim that tests are racist because blacks fail them at a higher percentage than whites, and require cash awards to be paid to those blacks who failed them. Most blacks generally pass the tests, and the lawsuits do not explain how the tests can be racist against only some blacks. Blacks who passed the tests are excluded from the financial payouts.
Here’s the thing, though. This is essentially the White House saying that these black people are failing because they are black.
There’s a disparity here, sure, but for it to be racist, it must be because of race that they’re failing. Unless the people handing out the tests are handing much harder ones to black applicants than to white people—something no one is alleging, by the way—then the disparity must be due to some other factor.
I wanted to use the phrase uttered by George W. Bush about “the soft bigotry of low expectations,” but I think this goes beyond any kind of “soft bigotry.”
This is out-and-out racism being trotted out as the opposite.
However, most people will look at this and, at most, shrug over it. They won’t realize exactly what is being said by the very people who claim to oppose racism.
Yes, yes, I know that many of you are readying your comments about the Democrats and their long history of racism. You’re not wrong, but they’ve done a pretty decent job of reframing things so it looks like they weren’t responsible for what the Democrats of yesteryear did.
Only nothing really has changed, has it? They still see black people are too stupid to understand basic math rather than taking a look at why they aren’t doing as well.
Racism isn’t the root cause of everything in the world, but when you stand there are say, “They’re failing and that’s only because they’re black”—which is precisely what they’re saying—then there’s no other explanation for it beyond blatant racism.
Black, white, Hispanic, Asian, or whatever is irrelevant overall regarding intelligence. At most, what we have are cultural issues that impact some races more than others, but actually have nothing to do with race.
You could surround a white or Asian person in the same culture from birth and the outcomes would likely be the same.
Regardless, this pisses me off because of what it’s saying. This is wrong and I don’t like our taxpayer dollars being used for such blatantly racist purposes.

The problem is if they don't claim it's racism, they have to blame it on the ridiculous setup of failing public schools and then they'd be forced to actually do something about it. Think about it. They've arranged it so property taxes are the main way public schools get their money. If the neighborhood is wealthy, the nearby public schools do pretty well (they still indoctrinate kids, but basic reading and math skills are also taught). If it's an urban poor neighborhood, the schools are almost always a failing concern. It's like they set up urban minorities to fail and be dependent on the government generationally. Is it true? Probably not at first, but there's no doubt it's worked out that way and that's why the left hates the idea of vouchers, scholarships and charter schools. Not only will those ideas hurt the unions who fund their campaigns, it creates educated minorities who become aware the left has destroyed the black family and black businesses who then realize the left keeps *none* of their promises to minority voters. That's why the left is replacing American voters with a newer, more grateful electorate who feel they got their money's worth when they were allowed to illegally enter America and stay without concerns of being punished for their crimes.
