“[T]he only garbage I see is his [Trump’s] supporters.” - President Joe Biden
So an insult comedian at Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally referred to Puerto Rico as a “floating island of garbage” as part of a joke. An insult comic, to be specific, insulted the island. This, however, was decided to be racism even though he said nothing about the people of Puerto Rico.
But President Joe Biden, in responding, decided it was about Latino people in general, then said the only garbage he saw was Trump’s supporters.
Well, I’m voting for Donald Trump this go around. He’s not who I wanted to be voting for right about now, but he’ll get my vote on Tuesday, so I guess I’m garbage now.
But what makes me garbage exactly?
Could it be my belief that I have the right to defend myself, my family, and even my country from tyrannies ranging from common crime to an oppressive government? Does that make me “garbage” in Joe Biden’s eyes?
Or maybe it’s the fact that I’m not OK with mangling kids through life-altering surgeries to change their genders long before they’re of an age where we let them make such life-altering decisions in any other place?
It could be the possibility that I’m not a fan of some of those older teens and adults who make that decision to compete in women’s sports, particularly contact sports but really anything where increased strength, speed, and bone density might give someone an unfair competitive advantage.
Oh, I know. It must be the fact that I want to honor the dedication of countless legal immigrants as well as maintain our public safety by strengthening the southern border to keep out illegal immigrants, potential terrorists, and drugs that are killing tens of thousands of people every year. I mean, I think we should reform the legal immigration process because it’s a freaking nightmare, but that doesn’t mean we should ignore our borders.
Maybe I’m garbage because while I don’t approve of hateful speech, I don’t want to see anyone arrested or sued over it.
It could also be because I think people who can work should have to earn their own way in the world. I mean, a hand-up is fine and there are times many of us could use one, but maybe because I think we’ve gone beyond that makes me garbage.
Or maybe it’s the fact that we have too many regulations and laws, so many that no one could possibly keep up with them, and that if we have an issue with there being too many criminals, maybe we should start by repealing the stupid laws and not just ignoring people breaking laws that everything thinks are valid like shoplifting.
Like, maybe we should have a whole lot fewer laws but really enforce the ones we keep.
I guess that makes me garbage.
Honestly, I could probably keep on going, pointing out what I feel to be common sense, pro-liberty positions that I favor and that Biden and people like him most definitely don’t, but what’s the point? The president of the United States called people like me and you “garbage.”
Yes, Trump did a press conference from the cab of a garbage truck which was absolute brilliance, but that’s not really relevant to what I’m talking about here and now. It was great, it just isn’t what’s got me worked up.
I wasn’t even going to talk about it. I had another story I wanted to cover, but the truth of the matter is that I’m pissed.
I know that Biden says he wasn’t talking about Trump supporters, but I watched the video. He wasn’t talking about the comedian. That was obvious to anyone who actually listened to what he said. It wasn’t some misunderstanding or a misrepresentation.
He said it and now it’s hurting Kamala Harris because this is the 2024 version of “a basket of deplorables.”
The kicker is that Harris is the more extreme of the two. She’s the one farther left on the political spectrum than Joe is. If he feels this way, what has she said when the cameras weren’t on?
So on Tuesday, I’m going to go and cast my ballot. My vote in Georgia actually matters these days, so I’ll go and cast it for Donald Trump.
It was going to be a bit begrudgingly because I still don’t actually like Trump all that much, even if I agree with much of what he did while he was in office. It’s a personality thing, and I can admit it. However, that vote won’t be begrudging anymore, though, because I’m garbage and the garbage can at least cast a vote to take out the trash.

I'll admit I didn't even care when Biden called us garbage. I've been called a Nazi, a conspiracy theorist, a fascist, a racist, an Islamophobe, a transphobe, a bigot and a liar. Garbage didn't even rate a raised eyebrow and a shrug, but it should have and where are we as a nation that I simply got back to work? 🤷
you may not like trump all that much but one might admit that forever and a day he has been d.j.trump . since i was 12yo j.r.biden has been a senator of unrivaled griftyness, in the pay of various actors whose intrests are not aligned with americas'. k.harris is a product of both the depraved n.american university system and the bubbling cauldron of corruption that is California politics.. all voting is a less bad binary so therefore DJT is the less bad. case closed, fini. good evening and all the best to you.
