With the government, no one is safe
I’m an optimist and idealistic. I really want to believe that the government is, ultimately, filled with good, decent people who just want to do their jobs. I tell myself that it does a lot of things it shouldn’t be doing, but the people in the trenches aren’t the problem, it’s lawmakers. From time to time, I take that desire and accidentally accept it as fact.
I shouldn’t.
The truth isn’t just very different from what I want to believe, it may well be the exact opposite, and no one is safe.
