Part of the reason I have such a problem with the mainstream media is that I was, in fact, part of it for a time. It might have just been the local media, but it was still a traditional newspaper that I owned, published, and edited.
During my time in the newspaper business, I learned a lot about the games many journalists play to meet the letter of what’s required without really meeting the spirit of those requirements.
And this week, some of those games—games meant to snare Trump’s pick for Secretary of Defense—bit the journalist in the posterior.
