When negative press means the right thing
There’s a saying that there’s no such thing as bad press. I’ve never really agreed with that, especially in the era of cancel culture. I get the argument. I just don’t think that’s necessarily true. If it were, why would there be libel laws?
Yet bad press doesn’t necessarily mean bad things. That’s especially true when you understand exactly what the bad press is saying. After all, what the media thinks is bad just might not be.
X, formerly Twitter, got a bit of bad press today and, frankly, I think Elon Musk should be proud of it.
