When alienation and persecution is the point
There are few subjects of debate quite like discussions regarding what kids are reading in school.
This isn’t new ground. I’ve seen it many times before in my life and it wasn’t always without merit. Some books are troubling and parents would rather their kids not read them.
Such parents were typically ridiculed in the media as hysterical and tyrannical, and the books in question were usually not really that big of an issue. Teachers knew better than to bring porn into the classroom.
They don’t know, and that’s leading to what some parents think of as problems but were more likely the intention.
