There are times I don’t feel like debating people. After all, my job doesn’t involve interaction with people on a personal level and so any debating that goes on is on my own time. I still do it, but I don’t feel obligated.
But what if you’re a lecturer who is teaching part of a DEI program that students at a university are required to take?
At that point, you kind of need to be open to some degree of debate. Yet it seems at least one such lecturer made it clear she wanted no such thing.
