Employers aren’t gods. They don’t get everything right and employees have the right to speak up if they have an issue with something.
That doesn’t mean the employer is obligated to take everything they say to heart, but a smart employer at least listens. After all, they’re the people in the trenches.
But there are lines, and the New York Times is dealing with having ignored that fact for too long.
