Trigger warnings are a bit of a thing on college campuses. They keep trying to spill out into the real world, with college students and graduates demanding that others jump up and offer trigger warnings in general conversation.

Now, I’ve long argued that some of that isn’t bad. Warning people something graphic is about to be on the news, for example, is just responsible.

But some have taken it well beyond there and want trigger warnings for things they never experienced.

Which might be fine if it was accomplishing some kind of good. But is it?
