The truth about rent control
The cost of housing is one of many areas where things are getting more than a little ridiculous. Buying a house is too expensive for a lot of people and even rent is starting to become an issue.
And people need a roof over their heads.
So, politicians step in to suggest rent control, among other measures, as a means of addressing the issue.
Yet while economists tend to disagree about almost everything, rent control isn’t really one of those things, and there’s a reason for that.
