I’ve said repeatedly that I’m not actually anti-electric vehicles, or EVs. I like the concept and there are a number of situations when an EV would be a good thing. I’d love to replace the use of petroleum with some other alternative, if for no other reason than to undercut the oil money that helps pay for Islamic terrorism.
But I’ve also said a number of times that they’re not ready. Battery technology isn’t sufficient to actually make them viable as a total replacement for cars with an internal combustion engine.
That hasn’t stopped the Biden administration from acting like they are. That’s unlikely to change even after his secretary of energy got a wakeup call on them.
