The state of New York knew that the Bruen case was going to go against them for some time before the decision was formally released. Now, they have a concealed carry law that sort of looks like it follows the Supreme Court’s ruling if you squint at it…and are pretty drunk.
Anyway, the law itself has a lot of problems. Many of those are basically the same as what we saw in New Jersey’s measure that was just hammered by a federal court.
Yet New York’s went up to the Supreme Court for a possible stay.
Earlier this week, it seems the same Court that handed down Bruen has decided not to put a halt to the state’s new concealed carry regulatory effort.
