Schools Trying To Get Critical Race Theory Into Classrooms Under Parents' Noses

As a parent, one thing I want to know is what’s going on with my child. At some point, my youngest will decide to only share what she wants me to know about. My oldest has been there for a while now. This is, unfortunately, normal.

However, that’s something kids decide sooner or later. What I won’t tolerate is the schools trying their damnedest to keep me in the dark. Especially when it comes to my kids’ education.

Granted, it’s never really been an issue. Before I started homeschooling my daughter, we rarely had any reason to worry.

Not every parent is so fortunate.

A Minnesota student says she was given an "equity survey" in class that she was not allowed to share with her parents.

Haylee Yasgar, a fourth-grade student in the Sartell-St. Stephen School District, revealed the existence of the survey to community members at a school board meeting on July 19.

People gathered to discuss critical race theory being pushed in school curriculums as well as the role of Equity Alliance Minnesota, a left-wing organization that was hired to conduct an $80,000 "racial inequalities" audit within the Sartell-St. Stephen School District.

“My teacher said that I could not skip any questions, even when I didn’t understand them. One question asked us what gender we identify with. I was very confused, along with a lot of other classmates,” Yasgar said during the meeting, which was captured on video.

"A boy in my class asked my teacher if his mom could explain the question to him because even after the teacher explained it, he still didn't understand," she continued. "My teacher told him that he was not allowed to ask his mom and that we could not repeat any of the questions to our parents."

“Being asked to hide this from my mom made me very uncomfortable, like I was doing something wrong,” she concluded.

That would be because it would be someone doing something wrong, only it wouldn’t be the young lady.

Now, let’s be fair, this is just a survey. While it likely included some questions that would infuriate parents to some degree, it was still just a survey. It’s not the end of the world.

However, handing a survey to young children, telling them they have to answer every question and can’t get a parent’s help is just sketchy as hell and is likely to produce inaccurate answers. Especially with the only help coming from a teacher who likely knows nothing about that child’s real home life.

I’d like to believe this is the end of it, but it won’t be.

What we’ve seen elsewhere is Critical Race Theory—an idea that argues all of our systems are racist by design—is being included in curriculums, just under different names. That’s because they know parents will object.

After all, the short version of CRT is what I call “everything and everyone is racist.” Of course, that’s not accurate. It’s just the white people who are racist.

Which is probably what this survey was designed to determine. By that, I mean it will determine that white people are racist, black people are oppressed, and varying degrees for everyone else along the racial spectrum.

It’s not like we can trust the woke—and anyone who peddles CRT is definitely woke—to play it fair. They’ll manipulate anything to get the desired outcome.

Yet again, this shouldn’t be surprising. Over and over again, we’ve seen how the wokesters are more than willing to try and indoctrinate your children to believe stuff that will have them tell you just how awful you are.

See, for a lot of people, the wokesters know it’s too late. You’re not going to bow down and just accept you’re an awful human being simply because they command you to believe it. You’re just not going to.

But your kids are another matter. Their minds are still being shaped.

Since most parents only ask about what their kids are studying with regard to things like math, science, and so on, they likely won’t know about the corrosive CRT stuff until it’s already too late.

That’s why they want to slip it in under the radar.

Don’t let them. Make damn sure you know what your kids are learning. I’d tell you to homeschool them, but that’s not practical for everyone. At a minimum, though, ask detailed questions about what your child is learning. If CRT-sounding stuff pops up, don’t be afraid to reach out to your local school board. Ask them questions.

Whatever you do, don’t roll over and let it happen. No good comes of that. Ever.

Instead, you fight. You dig in and fight and you have it out. Thousands of parents are fighting those battles right now. Reach out if you’re unsure how to go about it. They’ll likely be glad to help you.

Then organize. A lot of other parents likely won’t know. Inform them and organize them and purge that nonsense from schools.

There’s nothing wrong with talking about the evils of slavery. There’s nothing wrong with talking about the civil rights movement.

No child, however, should be taught that they’re somehow responsible for centuries of oppression they had no say in.
