Today, I start back to homeschooling my daughter.
We got started because of the pandemic. Her school dropped the ball entirely at the first part of lockdowns, then when the school year was set to begin again, they still hadn’t figured anything out. As such, I figured that if I was going to have to teach my daughter, I’d damn well pick what she was going to learn.
For many other kids, though, pandemic policies taught them that being in school wasn’t a huge deal, which is likely why there is a big problem with attendance at schools of late.
