I’m not sure what the percentages are, but anyone who has had to deal with a natural disaster knows how tough it can be in the aftermath. When Hurricane Michael ripped up my neck of the woods, we weren’t really prepared for something of that magnitude. Power was out for over a week, and we were fortunate. Other places lost it for far longer.
The next day, we rode around town in part to get a little AC and to charge our phones but saw only a few businesses functioning. Those that were had generators.
A few people were able to save their food with those same handy devices.
Now, the Biden administration is seeking to ban most of the portable generators currently on the market apparently.
