NYC public schools boot local kids for illegal immigrants
I’m not a big fan of public schools for a variety of reasons, but I also get that not everyone is in a position to even consider the alternatives. Parents in New York City might be doing well to cover the sky-high rent, for example, and be working too much to even think about homeschooling.
While I could argue that they could find a way, I get that not everyone agrees it’s necessary.
But at least their tax dollars pay for an education. Or, more accurately, it did before public schools decided to kick out local kids to make room for the children of illegal immigrants.
