First, I have to make a confession. I’ve never taken a chemistry class in my life.
When I was in high school, my options were physiology or chemistry and, frankly, physiology was more relevant to my interests. In fact, it still is, all things considered.
Anyway, I started off with that admission because we’re going to talk a bit about chemistry today.
In particular, the fact that the science of chemicals is apparently racist.
Don’t believe me? Well, I don’t believe me either. I’m not the one who is making the claim, though. That’s a university that is, yes, trying to say that chemistry has a problem with white supremacy in chemistry.
Also a problem with misogyny, too, it seems.
Yes, they’re really saying this.
