Over time, the way we look at things can change. As we grow as people, we all look back on things and cringe and how, well, cringe we were.
But after a certain point, the past needs to be viewed by remembering how things were then, not how they are now. After all, people are products of their day, and that colors the decisions they made.
Yet people today seem unable to do that. They can’t fathom it.
Because of this inability, they view things in the past as if they happened today. As a result, they label things as racist.
Including works by black artists.
