Mass shootings sometimes give us the glorious opportunity to see the very best in humanity respond to some of the very worst. In school shootings like what we saw in Nashville when a nine-year-old girl sacrificed herself to pull a fire alarm to alert her fellow students of the danger, just to name one example.
That kind of heroism is absolutely mind-boggling.
In the aftermath of such horrific events, we usually get a lot of terrible and little good. We get a lot of people trying to push gun control, even if it has nothing to do with what happened. Yet it’s not just the gun control side of the debate that offers some…questionable takes.
