The United Nations is one of those things that might have offered a great deal of promise but, ultimately, is worthless.
While it might have started to avert war—a job it doesn’t seem to do all that well, all things considered—it’s morphed into what UN officials like to think of as something of a world government.
It’s not, though. It has no authority over member nations, really. That’s a fact this law clinic probably needs explained to them.
