Illinois new anti-gun effort not even hiding it's intent

And they offer a great reason why pure democracy blows

The state of Illinois hasn’t really been anything approaching pro-Second Amendment for a very long time, if ever.

Politics there are dominated by cities like Chicago where progressivism has firmly taken hold and damned everyone else.

We’re used to that.

But in the post-Bruen decision era, when gun control is being struck down in the courts left and right, Illinois lawmakers are taking a step to try and stop the bleeding. In particular, they’re trying to chill the challenges they’ll almost certainly lose.
