When Millennials gripe about things, it’s pretty easy to dismiss a lot of it. However, they’re actually right on a couple of points. One of those is housing.
The cost of housing is increasing well beyond that of other goods, making it harder for people to afford homes.
The government’s answer to this is to try and make it easier to get loans, but when you can’t actually afford the house in question, a loan just means you’re unable to afford it over a long period of time.
We saw how that worked out back in 2008: It doesn’t.
And the thing is, the government is part of the reason why those costs are so damn high in the first place.
