I’ve led something of a colorful life, particularly from an economic standpoint. I’ve had a net worth that some would consider fairly high and I’ve been as poor as they come.
And that’s all been in my adulthood.
Granted, I was never actually all that wealthy, but I’ve damn sure lived in poverty. I’ve been poor and I know how much it sucks.
So you can imagine how it caught my attention when I found out that Highland Park, Illinois was hosting a “poverty simulation.”
