The 20th Century was a time when the evils of authoritarianism ravished the continent of Europe. From fascism to communism, the evils of totalitarianism should have been indelibly burned into the European psyche.
At least, one would hope so, anyway.
Unfortunately, that’s not the case, and while there are a lot of examples out there, most seem to revolve around European lawmakers’ disdain for free speech.
