When gas prices started getting ridiculous, many on the left started singing the praises of electric vehicles.
Now, I’m not actually hostile to the idea of electric cars. I don’t think they’re ready for mass use, but they might work for a lot of people and I can see the future likely includes them as a significant part of private transportation.
But, again, they’re not quite ready, so I got a little worked up when people were telling me to drop tens of thousands of dollars I didn’t have on a new car so I wouldn’t have to pay $5 or more per gallon.
It didn’t make a lot of sense. If I couldn’t afford gas, how the hell was I supposed to afford a new car?
But a lot of people did buy electric vehicles. It seems many are displeased by what they found.
