Disinformation claims are just battlespace prep (Paid Subscriber Exclusive)
The words “misinformation” or “disinformation” are slung around with a certain amount of glee these days. Lots of people basically scream one or both of the terms at just about anything they disagree with. No one is wrong anymore, they’re peddling disinformation.
And that’s a problem.
For one thing, it’s not good for our national discourse, to say the least. It makes it impossible to have any kind of meaningful debate.
However, while I can’t say that was the goal all along, recent events have made it impossible for me to dismiss that possibility either.
