There will always be people who have different opinions from yours. That’s as inescapable as death or me thinking Amy Schumer is about as funny as a prostate exam.
In our world, we’re not required to endorse these lines of thinking we find objectionable, nor are we required to associate with those who think that way. However, if we’re to call ourselves a free society, we are required to at least accept they have a right to think whatever they want to think.
Yet that whole “free society” thing is where we find the rub. Many university students have no interest in a free society, and so their answer to what they see as discrimination? Discrimination.
