California bill would allow parents to sue others for their mistakes
Being a parent is tough, especially in the digital age. In my youth, if you kept your kid from sitting in front of the TV all day, you were ahead of the game. Today, it’s possible for your child never to watch the television and still be addicted to electronic entertainment.
It’s an easy enough trap to fall into, too. Kids crave entertainment and many will annoy the hell out of you until you provide it. It’s easy to want to hand them a tablet or your cell phone to keep them distracted.
So, whose fault is it when the kid becomes “addicted” to that entertainment?
