As if you didn't have enough reasons to dismiss academia already...
I get pretty down on academia here, and it’s not entirely without cause. However, I have to recognize that I only see some aspects of what academia does. I have no doubt there are tons of academics who aren’t interested in the “woke” nonsense the seemingly permeates colleges and universities and just want to educate their students.
Even if I vehemently disagree with them on every political issue, I can at least respect the desire.
But what happens when it’s the university itself creating the dumb?
