1619 creator proves punching down is just fine
Nikole Hannah-Jones is a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and is a prime example of just how little the terms “Pulitzer Prize-winning” and “journalist” actually mean.
Hannah-Jones is the driving force behind the critically-acclaimed yet historically-flawed piece of writing known as the 1619 Project, which claimed America’s true founding dated to when the first slaves landed in North America.
However, Hannah-Jones is part of that social justice jihadist sect that tends to argue that “punching down”—i.e., criticizing or attacking someone with less power than you do—is a profound and unforgivable sin.
At least, she has been in the past.
